Warped perspective

Warped perspective
- Most of the time when are shooting a sequence, we strive to retain the correct proportions and shapes of the objects and subjects. In general, we don't want our skyscrapers arching precariously across the sky. Or our subjects to have stretched features on the periphery of the frame. But sometimes, intentionally warping the perspective of a shot can work to enhance a particular element in the context of the piece. Let's take a look at some examples. By using a wide-angled Fisheye lens, we can skew the sense of scale. And infuse an everyday object with a warped significance. In this scene, we see a man trying to get his friend to take a bite of a strawberry. She's allergic and uneasy. By dramatically distorting the size of the strawberry we're able to identify the source of her anxiety and fear in the same way that we might choose to distort the face of someone who is genuinely scary.
