- [Instructor] One of my favorite features of the Measurement & Automation Explorer are its test panels, which can be accessed by right-clicking on a device and selecting Test Panels. These test panels let you manually acquire and generate signals on the different input and output channels for this device to verify their functionality. There are separate tabs for analog input, analog output, digital IO, and counter IO. For this demonstration, I'll perform a basic analog loop back test by using a wire to connect the first analog output channel, which is labeled as AO zero, back to the first analog input channel, labeled AI zero. The connector terminals for analog input and output are located on the left side of the USB 6001. First I'll locate the terminal labeled AO zero, and using a small screwdriver I'll open the terminal by turning the screw counterclockwise. Then I'll insert the end of my wire, which I've already…
