- [Instructor] You can verify that your system correctly installed the drivers you'll need to follow along with this course by opening measurement and automation explorer, which is also called MAX, for short. It'll show up in the start menu, under the National Instruments folder, as NI-MAX. You can think of MAX like the Windows device manager for National Instruments hardware and software. If I expand the software tab, I can see all of the NI programs and drivers on this computer. I see that LabVIEW's installed, and then down near the bottom, that DAQmx and VISA are both installed too, which is what you'll need for this course. If you check MAX and don't see DAQmx listed under the software tree, you can download it from ni.com. From the homepage, type DAQmx into the search box and press enter, filter the search results to just find downloads on the left side of the screen, and then the first result should be DAQmx…
