- Before we start to import media, let's talk about a few things related to your computer. Editing video is one of the hardest things you can ask a computer to do. That's because you're processing anywhere from 24 to 120 frames of information per second, needing to play that back smoothly, keeping things in sync, and potentially making adjustments to color exposure on the fly. So, let's walk through a few important things. First up, I strongly suggest that you visit the Premiere Pro system requirements page. This will allow you to better understand what you need to edit with Premiere Pro. Now, on this page, you'll see different options available. For example, you can see the general requirements for Windows and macOS. This will help you understand things like the resolution of the screen you're working with, how much memory is suggested.
