- I recently met with a project manager at a client site. The PM starts with something like this, "Joshua, based on the assessment you did for us, you know that we cannot move to Agile in my area right now, but I want some advice. On my project, the sponsors have signed off on all the detailed requirements and we're about to go through the milestone review for the requirements phase. My developers are planning how they will get their work done and they want to use Scrum." They keep telling me that they can do this, meet governance and pass the phase's milestone review. The PM also shared that she had never used agile on a project before and only knows a little bit about agile in general, so she's uncomfortable with this idea. I ask her a few questions. "Do the developers want to use sprints?" "Yes." "Are they planning to get feedback on their work at the end of each sprint?" "Yes."
