- I've heard time and time again the desire to go agile, but countered with statements like there is no buy-in and commitment from leadership or it's too much change for us, so it's just not practical. Based on the last 20 plus years of experience working with organizations in teams on agile journeys, an agile end state is not the best fit for everyone. What I mean by this is you don't need to fully adopt an agile framework to get the benefits of agile. Wait, are you thinking that means there's an in-between state? Yes, there sure is. Picture a spectrum with two endpoints. Traditional at one end and agile at the other. Between those two points are hybrid approaches. And for many, a spot on the spectrum is a good place to be. It's time for agile coaches, project managers, leadership, and others to recognize despite investment and what people have been told.
