Add to or subtract from a selection
- [Narrator] When you're making a selection, you can modify that selection by adding to it and subtracting from it to get it just the way you want it. Let's take a look at how to do that, and along the way, we'll make a frame for this image that creates a cute sticker. So, I'm going to start by taking a look at the layers panel where you can see that there are three layers in the image. There is a dog on a transparent layer. Below that is another layer where we're going to add a white square in the middle of this image. And below that is the beige background. We'll use a simple selection tool, the rectangular marquee tool. It's located here in the toolbar. I'll select the rectangular marquee tool, and with this tool you can make horizontal, rectangular selections or vertical ones, or you can even make selections in the shape of a square.
