- Well, I understand that not every one of us wants to be an inspirational guru or a motivational speaker, but, as a leader, you are expected to deliver impactful presentations. So, now, let's look at how the design and deliver presentations that are neither mundane, nor monotonous, but impressive and impactful. I'm going to share five strategies with you to help you transcend the proverbial death by presentation syndrome and become a highly magnetic presenter who owns the room. Strategy number one, the 2-4-8 content rule. Have you ever been bored to death by people reading paragraphs from the presentations? If it's up there, I can read it too. This rule says that you never devote more than two minutes of your talk time per slide, you cannot have more than four bullet points and every bullet point should have a maximum of eight to 10 words of content in the sentence, so that you are not writing paragraphs in every bullet point.
