- [Instructor] Bar charts are one of my go-to charts because they let us easily analyze data in a sorted and easy-to-read way. We can create horizontal bar charts to show rankings by category, and we can use vertical ones to show things like chronological trends in what Power BI calls column charts. We can tap into formatting options for either orientation for stacking, clustering, or separating them into small multiples. Let's start by adding a stacked bar chart to our page. We'll put the level six Income Statement Label lines from the Accounts table on the y-axis and the Amount measure on the x-axis. Now let's say that we want to sort these bars with their absolute amount, so we would want to see cost of goods sold underneath gross revenue. We can sort by the Amount field from the Actuals table that's not in our bar chart by adding it to the Tooltips. It doesn't display the amount, but when we select the ellipsis menu at the top of the visual, we can choose this Sum of Amount field…
