Building dashboards for real-time insight

- [Narrator] Think of a dashboard as mission control for your ServiceNow instance. Instead of opening 10 different reports, you land on one page that auto refreshes with live metrics, incident requests, SLAs, whatever your team tracks. The layout is pure drag and drop. And what each viewer sees is controlled by roles and share settings. So managers get the whole picture while specialists only see what they need. When you open the Dashboards module, you land on this library. The left rail lets you filter to dashboards you own, ones shared with you or everything system wide. Each tile gives you a quick preview plus handy icons to bookmark or view info. The purple Create New Dashboard button in the corner is where the magic starts. Try building one. Hit Create New Dashboard. Give it a clear name. Say Service Desk Health, and add a short description so others know the purpose at a glance. The owner defaults to you, but you can transfer it later.
