Spokane Public Schools’ Post

QUESTION: How might private funding help create a public indoor tennis facility at Shadle Park High School? ANSWER: The Pacific Northwest section of the (USTA) United States Tennis Association is exploring the design and construction of an indoor tennis facility on the footprint of Shadle Park’s current outdoor courts as part of the Together Spokane initiative. This indoor facility would provide year-round access to tennis for both SPS high school students and the Spokane tennis community. Partnering with USTA Pacific Northwest could bring additional capital investment to the site, ensuring this enhanced facility would be built to ensure it would be built to meet the needs of SPS, Spokane Parks and Recreation, and USTA PNW.
