I was proud to have represented General Dynamics Information Technology by throwing out the first pitch at Nationals Park in recognition of #SuicidePreventionMonth. Every day, we are confronted with alarming statistics about mental health and the loneliness epidemic. The impact on younger generations—our future—is especially concerning. In the face of these trends, it’s crucial that we continue to raise awareness and have conversations about mental health. At GDIT, we’ve made mental health discussable and encourage employees to utilize the mental health resources available to them and seek help when needed. And we look out for one another and genuinely ask “How Are You, Really?" as you never know who might be struggling on any given day. Remember, help is always available. If you or someone you know is in crisis, reach out by calling, texting, or chatting with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. #mentalhealth #HowAreYouReally
