Anthony Langone’s Post

Been waiting months to say this: Wrapped 2025 is officially live. This has been the most challenging project of my career, and easily the most rewarding. Wrapped has transformed end-of-year marketing campaigns across the industry, and seeing how it comes together behind the scenes has been incredibly motivating. Genres are back! Albums are here! So many news features: Wrapped Party. Clubs. LISTENING AGE!!!! This campaign touches every corner of Spotify. Our massive cross-functional team works on it all year, and calling it a labor of love barely scratches the surface. I thought about tallying the number of Slack channels, XFN meetings, WhatsApp threads, and All Hands we’ve had this year… but just know the number would be wild. There’s so much more to unpack over the next few days, and I’m excited to share more. There’s too many people to shout, but specifically grateful for Erika and Kimberly. Now, share some Wrapped results below 👀

I enjoyed Wrapped feature this year, especially since I’ve been on bed rest and using Spotify quite a lot lately as an avid end user. The age insight was fun and intriguing. I kept wondering how it was calculated, does it reflect the age group of the musicians/artists, the typical audience demographic, some psychological assessment of the melody and its association with maturity or perhaps an interpretation of the lyrical depth? I’m certainly older and received 26, probably thanks to my mild obsession with Måneskin’s Trastevere, The Rasmus' October & April and Kygo’s Stole the Show :D

As a huge data nerd I’m obsessed with wrapped every year but I am curious how top album is calculated…do you have to listen to every song on an album for it to be in consideration or does just listening to a song from it add to their count 👀

What I love is that my genre is Indie Punk, my top bands are Amyl & the Sniffers, Destroy Boys, etc. But I caught an album from the 50s that I love and listened to it a LOT and it shot my listening age up to 84!

This year’s Wrapped is my favorite yet. I especially loved the Listening Reports. I got “Biggest Lady Gaga Day” on September 6, when I attended the Mayhem Ball tour, and “Most Energetic Day” on my birthday! Such a fun user experience 👏

Bad Bunny reclaiming the top spot underscores the continued rise of Latin artists in global streaming. His return to No. 1 after Taylor Swift’s two-year run shows how dynamic listener preferences have become. The presence of The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish rounds out a chart shaped by truly international voices.

This year’s Wrapped was my favorite yet. The categories, the visuals, and the overall experience were exceptional. I really appreciated how much personality and thoughtfulness went into every detail. I’ve used Spotify Wrapped for years, and this one truly stood out.

Listening age 17. Not sure if this is good, but it made my day 😆

It's really so good - can't believe it gets better every year!!! I am still ~shocked~ that 12 hours of brown noise never is my top 5 song.

Well done Spotify team! Anthony Langone Kimberly Letzler Erika Trombley I just did my Wrapped Party with some of my closest friends the experience keeps getting better each year; lots to be proud of. Bad Bunny still my number one but I found out I am an old soul coming in at 71 haha - loving every bit of it - and still a huge fan of Spotify Singles series as well.

Spotify Wrapped has continued to be an amazing source of building community and culture among students in middle school, high school, and universities. Thank you for all the work you do! I can’t imagine how people would feel without Wrapped’s reputation and history!
