Arlington National Cemetery’s Post

Happy National Teacher Appreciation Week! 📚 Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) values the importance of our nation’s teachers and the critical roles they play in educating the next generation about the value of service. Our Education Program offers free resources for homeschool and classroom teachers of all grades, with corresponding activities and other materials to enhance learning. The materials can be downloaded from our education website and through Canvas! Our materials can be used in social studies, history, language arts, math, science, biology, and music classrooms. The program is organized into themes that tell the story of the United States through the lives of those buried or memorialized here. These themes include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, World War II, Military Intelligence, Explorers of Earth, Air and Space, and more! Each theme contains lesson plans, walking tours (for in-person or virtual explorations of the cemetery), student activities, recommended readings, and other resources.
