Every so often you just gotta get out of the house. Last Friday Peter Everett, and Thomas Curcio and I, (along with my wife Sandi, who is not on LinkedIn) two guys I “grew up with” in the law, took the day off to reconnect via a 40 mile bike ride. We talked for hours… life, law, impact, and next stage of life stuff. Tom and Peter are training for a “century” ride and Sandi and I are touring New Hampshire with Great Bike Tours next month. All three of us local. All three of us plaintiffs lawyers. For over two decades we (and other local plaintiffs lawyers) have been masterminding locally. All “competitors” but not really. That was fun!
Love this, Ben—what a great way to combine fitness, friendship, and perspective. Curious, after years of collaborating as both colleagues and ‘competitors,’ what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned about the value of community over competition in the legal field?
Now there's some young folks! Like me!
Power Houses!
Love this!
Ben-Yes, great day Friday cycling with you, Sandi and Peter. Hard to believe we started out 40+ years together as "babes in the [law] woods". What a blessing, personally and professionally, it is that our friendships have only grown. Proves that competitors can be friends, share information, help each other, and all thrive. Can't wait for our next ride!
