Some ideas have the potential to change everything. But only if they make it out of the lab and into the world. At EIFO, we are working to bridge the gap between research and business, because the technologies of tomorrow need both patient capital and bold investors today. That’s why conversations like this week’s roundtable with Niklas Zennström and Atomico matter. We had a valuable exchange on the State of European Tech report. And a shared ambition to back great ideas at both early and later stages, helping growth companies stay on European soil. We must do more in Europe, but we are starting to see results. A few examples: - Atomico: EIFO has invested as a limited partner in a couple of Atomico’s funds, supporting their long-term commitment to European tech and their strong engagement in the Danish ecosystem. We have also co-invested with Atomico in Corti, the Danish AI co-pilot for healthcare professionals. Corti’s technology is already used in millions of patient encounters annually, helping clinicians save time, reduce errors, and focus on care. - PSV Hafnium: EIFO is a cornerstone investor in Denmark’s first early-stage deep tech fund, alongside the European Investment Fund. The fund backs science-based clean tech, health tech, and industrial technologies, leveraging strong ties to DTU’s innovation ecosystem. - QuNorth: A new Nordic quantum initiative owned 50/50 by EIFO and the Novo Nordisk Foundation. QuNorth will house Magne – one of the world’s most powerful Level 2 quantum computers, located in Denmark, providing strategic access for Nordic researchers and companies. Thanks to Atomico and all the Danish partners for an inspiring discussion.
