Congratulations to the newest Community Health Worker (CHW) graduates from UC Merced Division of Professional and Continuing Education! The Alliance helped fund this CHW training program with a grant for nearly $800,000. CHWs serve as trusted connectors between Medi-Cal members, health and social services and the community. With a combination of lived experience and professional training, CHWs play a vital role in advancing health equity and delivering culturally responsive care. We’re proud to support this program and celebrate these incredible graduates! And a special congratulations to our very own Community Engagement Coordinator Maria Colomer, who earned a CWH certificate.
