Chesapeake Solar & Storage Association’s Post

🌟 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 🌟 While CHESSA’s work centers on advancing solar and storage, we’re always proud to recognize the broader impact our members make in strengthening communities. Last month, CHESSA member Enterprise Community Partners highlighted an issue that deserves attention: youth homelessness. CHESSA commends Enterprise Community Partners for their partnership with A Place 4 Me and their commitment to ensuring young people receive support early—“so it’s a memory, and not their future.” An important reminder that building strong, resilient communities goes far beyond infrastructure. #YouthHomelessnessAwarenessMonth #YouthHomelessness

Each year, A Place 4 Me fields nearly 500 calls from young adults seeking housing support—many of whom are exiting foster care or juvenile justice systems without the family networks many of us take for granted. Their team serves both youth experiencing visible homelessness—those living in cars, abandoned buildings, or shelters—and those in more invisible situations, such as couch surfing or facing imminent housing loss. Enterprise Community Partners is grateful for A Place 4 Me's partnership and our shared commitment to ending youth homelessness. As Executive Director Kate Lodge reminds us, it's critical to provide support at an early age, “so it’s a memory, and not their future.” #YouthHomelessnessAwarenessMonth #YouthHomelessness
