Today is a very special day for Connecticut Food Share. We officially kicked off our Thanksgiving for All campaign. Today is Bank of America Turkey Tuesday. This is the 26th year of our partnership and our goal this year is to provide 40,000 Thanksgiving meals to families across Connecticut. The day started very early inside our warehouse with news coverage of Bank of America Turkey Tuesday, Jason Jakubowski and Joe Gianni, President of Bank of America of Greater. Spoke about the importance of the Thanksgiving for All campaign. After that, Governor Ned Lamont joined us for a press conference. I want you to step up and to see what you can to donate here to food Share and make sure that everybody has a good Thanksgiving going forward. Thankfully, SNAP benefits are back. We've got that, you know, fully throttled. Looks like that's a good at least for the next year. A lot of stop and start. Speaking of stepping up during the holidays, Bank of America made a very generous donation today. Proud that we're able to present a check to to Connecticut food share. The governor was very generous in terms of $3, 000,000 to five food. The board actually allocated $1,000, 000 to buy food, but we're presented a check for $100,000 for operations so they can keep. Thank you, Bill, Thank you guys. You're ready. And a huge thank you to the Hometown Foundation for donating 3752 turkeys on this Bank of America Turkey Tuesday. Additionally, Laz Parking donated 1000 turkeys. We're so grateful to everyone in the community who is stepping up to make sure Connecticut families can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. We have a ton of Thanksgiving drives this week. Where you can drop off Turkey donations or volunteer. Visit ctfuture.org/thanksgiving to learn more.
