My name is Rich Patel. I was hired as a measurement of planning analyst, also known as a map analyst for the Office of Contracting and Procurement. I saw the growth opportunity with DC government. They hire a wide variety of people from all walks of life and I felt like that was a really big growth opportunity for myself to really learn professionally, also learn and grow and personal level as well. So far working with government, it's been great. The thing that I most enjoy about my current job here at. PCP is the fact that I'm able to showcase all my talent and expertise that I've gained throughout my professional career and I'm able to see a larger impact district wide. Working for Office of Contracting Procurement, we deal with a lot of contractors that have a direct impact to DC residents. All of those vendors come through our agency and I was put on various team projects to be able to facilitate and make sure those contracts are fulfilled and making sure those vendors were also happy and making sure all. Metrics were met, so my experience thus far with decent government has exceeded my expectations. I'm the mayor all the way down to DC residents and everything in between. The impact that I was able to have with the teams that have been a part of has shown how we can better the community. I am proof that DC is hiring.
