Still glowing with pride. Yesterday our employee holiday program was a powerful reminder that our purpose doesn’t come from presentations or reports, it comes from patient stories. We heard from Morgon, a Marine veteran, who shared how overactive bladder once disrupted his life in ways many don’t see, including feeling isolated. At one point, he paused and asked a simple question: "𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦?" Nearly every hand in the room went up. With the help of Medtronic technology, he’s now able to do things he once couldn’t—and to show up fully in his life again. Another patient, Grace, then shared her journey of growing up with a Medtronic tracheostomy tube—something she relied on for more than a decade just to breathe. She reflected on an early school memory that stayed with her: a classmate noticing her trach and responding not with discomfort, but with curiosity and kindness; an unexpected moment of belonging. Different stories. Different experiences. But, the same human truth. What made the day even more meaningful was capturing moments with some special current and former members of the Medtronic Foundation board and our CEO Geoff Martha. Their stories, our Mission. This is the 𝒘𝒉𝒚 behind our work. And it’s a privilege to be reminded of it. #MedtronicEmployee
