Fluor has completed the external facade on one of its semiconductor facilities for a major industry client. The external facade, composed of insulated metal panels, and the layered roofing system were successfully installed, marking the building as officially “dried-in.” This achievement opens the path to energization and enables the completion of interior electrical, mechanical and architectural installations. Despite challenging weather, the main roofing installation concluded on November 17. Overcoming rain and adverse weather required a high degree of work force planning, safety preparation and cooperation between Fluor and our trade subcontractors. We are now on a clear path to completion, with our focus on commissioning mechanical and electrical systems and handover to our client. #BuildingABetterWorld #Semiconductors
This has been challenging project and I could not be prouder of the Fluor team and the way we've rallied to get this building to a dried-in condition. Fluor does semiconductor work around the globe and this team is well positioned to take on another challenge in the coming months...great people and great energy!
One of the two major milestones in construction for clean installations I considered of paramount importance: “Out-of-the-ground” to stop pollution from people walking in “Wind-and-water-tight” to be able to clean the inside and keep it clean/dry
