Gravis Robotics’ Post

A huge moment for our team. Gravis has raised $23M to bring large-scale earthmoving autonomy to more machines, fleets around the world to boost productivity and improve safety. Full details in Ryan’s post below.

At Gravis Robotics, we’re building technology to improve the productivity and safety of one of the world’s most important industries. We’ve raised $23 million to scale that technology to the sites that impact you — the foundations of your next home, the roads you’ll travel to get there, the utilities that keep you comfortable and connected, the quarries and mines that supply the materials around you, the irrigation to grow your food, and the renewable and resilient infrastructure that will keep our shared environment livable. The spirit of the construction industry is at the core of our company — ingenuity, grit, and pride in building things that last. We’ve designed a system to work around the ad-hoc, ever-changing realities of the field, bringing autonomy that fits the craft rather than forcing the craft to fit autonomy. Over the past year, we’ve had the benefit of working with operators across seven countries to learn from their experience, and to refine our retrofit platform with a wide variety of brand and machine size classes. Through this fundraise, we’ve found great partners in our Seed investors IQ Capital and Zacua Ventures, together with Pear VC, Imad Ventures, Holcim MAQER Ventures, Sunna Ventures, and ARMADA Investment AG — a group that believes in the same principle: that the fastest path to autonomy is delivering productivity today. Our success is driven by a world-class team and incredible partners, but it will be defined by the operators and contractors who build with us.
