Harlequins Women and University of Surrey have today announced a new partnership ahead of the 2025/26 season. This partnership aims to develop one of the best university pathway programmes in the country, attracting world-class athletes to study and train at the University of Surrey. The likes of Zara Green and Maddy Page have both flourished, having continued their rugby development alongside academic studies, with both players recently making their debuts for England U20s, and we hope to see many more players do the same. Are scholarship limitations impacting opportunities for US athletes? It appears shifts within the NCAA, including the removal of scholarship limits, may be creating unforeseen challenges for male high school athletes aiming for collegiate sports. With a fixed number of scholarships available, particularly in light of football commitments, American athletes could face increased competition. "It's a whole big circle of things," influencing developmental chances. Keen to hear perspectives on these evolving dynamics and their potential effects. 🚨 One of the most important lessons from our recent IKF webinar on U.S. student-athlete pathways: Start early — much earlier than most Indian families think. In this clip, U.S. college and prep school coaches explain why recruitment timelines are driven not just by football, but by academic admissions deadlines. For Fall 2026, applications were due by November 1st, 2025 — meaning player profiles, highlights, and outreach need to be ready 12–18 months in advance. 🎓 Featuring: 🔹 James Hamilton – Head Coach, Iona University (NCAA D1) 🔹 Joseph Ruesgen – Assistant Coach, NYU (NCAA D3) 🔹 Colin Hodge – Head Coach, South Kent School (Prep) 🎤 Moderated by Aryaman Trehan – Founder, Aperio Sports If you’re a player, parent, or coach aiming for U.S. opportunities, this is an essential watch. 📌 To watch the full webinar, find the link in the comment section. #IKF #IndiaKheloFootball #AperioSports #StudentAthlete #IndianFootball #USCollegeSoccer #FootballScholarships #NCAA #PrepSchoolSoccer #StartEarly #FootballAndAcademics #YouthDevelopment #StudyAbroad
