I spent today with Leadership Metro Richmond Leadership Quest Class of '26 learning about regional transportation from leaders at VDOT, GRTC, Sportsbackers, PlanRVA, and CTVA. What struck me most was the complexity behind decisions that impact our daily lives. How do you balance competing needs with limited resources? How do you incorporate diverse community voices into infrastructure planning? How do you prioritize projects that serve both current residents and future growth? The strategic thinking required to move our region forward is remarkable. These leaders are not just planning roads and transit routes. They are connecting communities, enabling economic opportunity, and shaping how we live and work together. Grateful for their expertise and dedication to solving problems (behind the scenes) that matter to all of us.
