Helsing has opened its first UK Resilience Factory – in Plymouth, the National Centre for Marine Autonomy. Dozens of high skilled jobs will be created immediately in Plymouth, with potentially hundreds more to meet the orders from allied navies. The new facility will initially be producing Helsing’s subsea autonomous AI-enabled glider, the SG-1 Fathom. The SG-1 Fathom is designed to hunt down enemy submarines and protect our sea lanes and critical undersea infrastructure. At the same time, the Resilience Factory will enable us to continue to research and develop future maritime solutions in a secure environment. Helsing is now proud to call Plymouth home. Here we will be working shoulder to shoulder with local partners, industry and world-class maritime talent. We welcomed the Secretary of State Rt Hon John Healey MP for the opening of our first UK Resilience Factory. UK Ministry of Defence
