Have you ever attended an event with no particular expectations only to find you enjoyed it immensely? That was the experience of our CEO, Sandra Yamate, when she decided to attend the Disability Rights Advocates Chicago 2025 Celebration. She loved it and reports having a thoroughly delightful time getting to unexpectedly reconnect with some old (and longtime) friends (Nigel Telman, we're looking at you!) while making some new ones. Kudos to our friends at DRA for creating such a successful event. The excellence of your advocacy work was on display! And ALL the speeches were INTERESTING! Congratulations to Nigel and the other award recipient – Janni Lehrer-Stein, William Silverman, and Proskauer Rose LLP – new DRA board member and longtime friend of all of us at the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession | IILP Jennifer M. Reddien of Venable LLP, and the DRA staff, especially DRA President and CEO Rebecca Williford, a woman we at IILP love, admire and appreciate! What a great evening! Henderson, Earl Barnes II, Deborah Telman
