3hWhat an amazing journey, and inspirational story 🌎 I was particularly struck with the statement that moving to renewables "all comes down to helping investors protect their investment, and building trust where there's not any". It reminded me of another TED Talk from over 10 years ago by Steve Howard where he talked about the importance of going "all in" on new technologies - like LED - meaning all investment was in the new technology leading to lower costs, higher uptakes (less sales dilution), so prices drop so everybody can afford the new technology. It feels like there is a real synergy between this and the need to "help investors protect their investment". If businesses were brave and went 100% in on new things, would that be enough to help protect investors, or would they need additional safeguards and supports from governments or other agencies? What are the key hurdles to businesses going all in, and is that were organisations like the IKEA Foundation can step in to make a difference during the transition period?
