Communities are always stronger when we unite to help one another. This was clear at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Annual Conference, which brought together over 1,500 municipal officials and partners from across Canada. Carla Smith and Alain Fortin, M. Sc., CFA, CPA delivered inspiring speeches on the importance of collaboration to address issues brought on by climate change. Alain and Blair Feltmate joined an “Ask the Expert” panel to share strategies to help protect municipalities against extreme weather and Intact’s on-site rain garden offered an example of nature-based solutions to flooding. At Intact, we believe building resilient communities requires an all-of-society approach. Since 2010, we've committed over $27 million to more than 100 climate adaptation projects, including grants and research from the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation | Centre Intact d’adaptation au climat. We’re here to help and we’ll continue to work together with municipalities to continue building resilient communities. Visit our website to learn more about our municipal grants and adaptation techniques you can implement in your own home. #FCM2025AC #CDNMuni
Absolutely, giving back and cultivating a resilient community makes everyone soul sing!
Totally agree! We’re stronger when we come together to support each other. A shame Intact doesn’t take that same approach with their clients. Especially the small businesses behind this country’s economy.
