International WELL Building Institute (IWBI)’s Post

Students see WELL in action! ⬇️

Honored to welcome Morehouse School of Medicine team to the University of Florida and the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning as part of our shared mission to advance healthier, high-performing built environments that support human well-being. Their visit included: ✨ Attending our LEED Lab class and seeing students apply real-world building performance strategies 🏆 Touring UF’s first WELL Platinum building, a model for health-centered design 🌿 Touring the latest LEED Platinum certified building on campus 🏗️ Visiting the Collaboratory, moving forward to become UF’s second WELL-certified building 📘 Collaborating on curriculum development and planning to replicate our WELL Lab/Practicum model at Morehouse with Stephanie Miles-Richardson, DVM, PhD and Carrie Johnson-Salone, MPH, WELL AP I am also truly honored to be asked by Morehouse to lead and establish their Center of Excellence Industry Advisory Board, modeled after the board I created in 2014 and led at UF until 2025. A sincere thank you to Steve Hoiberg at Siemens for their Empowerment Grant and continued support—this work would not be possible without their commitment to innovation in education. Excited for the meaningful work ahead as we expand this partnership. Many thanks to Jared Stokes at Stellar construction for giving us the tour.
