In addition to ringing in the New Year, I will also be bringing in a career change at the end of 2025. I joined Baringa Partners in 2011 to lead the development of the Energy Advisory Services business. My ambition was to build a consulting capability with a difference – building deep expertise in the energy and utilities sector, spanning the entire set of services from strategy to transformation, and being trusted by clients to help them address their most complex challenges. Our clients’ recognition of Baringa’s Energy & Utilities services through the FT Consulting Awards – winning Gold for the sixth consecutive year – has been a testament to our achievements. I am particularly proud of three aspects of my journey with Baringa. Firstly, the key role that we have played in shaping the industry and the futures of our clients. Secondly, the growth in the profile of Baringa in the sector, seen as an expert and trusted advisor and delivery partner. Thirdly, the professional career development of the team and the individuals within it. It has been an honour and a privilege to have been a part of this. It is not goodbye, as I will still be doing some work on a part-time basis with Baringa. But it will be a change, as I devote more of my time to the next stage of my career, furthering my portfolio of Chair, NED and Advisory roles. Thank you to my clients for being on this journey with me, thank you to the Energy & Utilities team for its passion and dedication, and thank you to the wider Baringa organisation for enabling us.
