Last week, with support from the Mellon Foundation, we hosted an invitational convening, entitled "Creating Future Memory," that brought together 150+ visual artists, legacy professionals, funders, and cultural workers to explore pressing questions surrounding artists' legacies and their vital importance for the future of our field and our cultural history. With gratitude to all the participants, we will be synthesizing key themes and voices from the gathering to produce a report to the field that advocates for a more inclusive, sustainable, and artist-centered future for legacy care.
