This is a great article that hits on a core principle of effective learning. As an instructional designer, my #1 question before I ever start a project is, "What do they actually need to DO with this?" It's the difference between delivering information and creating genuine behavior change. Whether it's a student in a classroom or an employee in a corporate training session, if they don't have a tangible reason to apply the knowledge, it's just a data dump.
