Amy See, a patient care assistant at Lancaster General Hospital, goes above and beyond in her care, treating each patient as if they were her own family. She gives selflessly, expecting nothing in return. One patient recently told her, "You are my sunshine!"—a sentiment that truly reflects the profound impact she has on those around her. In another instance, while performing her daily tasks, Amy noticed a cancer patient was suffering. Without hesitation, Amy took her in her arms, offering a moment of comfort as the patient cried on her shoulder. “Amy’s acts of kindness and empathy are something that’s hard to come by,” said a coworker who nominated her for a Daffodil Award, a recognition for extraordinary team members. Amy’s compassion and selflessness make her not only an exceptional caregiver but also an extraordinary person.
