🚀 Excited to share a key milestone in my journey deploying a real-time gRPC chat app to the cloud! 🌐 💾Added data persistency(message storage) for offline users using Redis Queue. Stored messages gets delivered when the user comes online. After hitting a roadblock with ngrok HTTP tunnels, I discovered why TCP tunneling is essential for gRPC apps — because gRPC uses HTTP/2 over raw TCP, not plain HTTP. ⚡ 🔍 This small yet crucial tweak transformed the user connection experience and opened doors for true cloud scalability. 💡 Key takeaway: When tunneling gRPC services locally or in the cloud (like AWS EC2), always use TCP tunnels to avoid connection and timeout errors.
