A chance to help others in your community ⬇️
We hope you join us and Mission Lexington at the local food drives coming up to help others in need in Lexington County.
Omission Lexington has been a long time partner in the community to us. Friends Feeding Friends is initiative we've been doing for several years to give back. You know, we're certainly serve a great community and we're part of that, and for us to get an opportunity to partner with a great nonprofit that serves the community is great. We see a lot of need. Our guys see it on calls constantly daily where there's a lot of need and certainly this initiative allows us. In a small way just to help give back, especially as the holiday season approaches. So we'll be able to give them the means to have a holiday meal, a hot holiday meal. Every single donation is appreciated. Every can, every box will ultimately go to somebody's table this holiday season and hopefully they will get to experience some joy around the table with their family. So on average, every month we're feeding around 2000 people normally out of our food pantry. And so during the holidays, our friends. Meeting friends is a program where we're actually gonna put a holiday meal on their table. The Sheriff's Department is great. They're out in several of our local food grocery stores that help provide into the mission. And so they hold these drives for this holiday food. And it's so essential, especially now as we're seeing our numbers increase that we have that food to give to these families. So that partnership is vital. And just someone else in our community, especially the Sheriff's Department, it gets them out and in front of folks that's. So they see how they're giving back and then it also is a great partnership for us in the community as well so that we can provide for the for our neighbors in crisis. If you want to get involved, we have this program I'm fixing to get started and cranked up Lowe's Foods, Walmart, Sam's Club, various dates and times that you can plug in, whether it asks some bringing in a non perishable or purchasing a food box for families in needs. There's tons of way to get involved. And I know our. Community are eager to help and pass along something to a family in need.
Outstanding storytelling and editing here by Sarah Alexander, APIO, CPC-PIO, with technical assistance during the shoot in the field from Carlee Hatchell, APIO, CPC-PIO. This duo never ceases to amaze me with their penchant for catching and fulfilling the vision for rich content. And, working with Mission Lexington’s Amy Reeves was beyond easy. An impassioned “yes” to a random idea emailed and she’s ready to go in a matter of days. That’s a pro!
