I am very proud to have played a part alongside so many amazing people in the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project. We had a sneak preview on Saturday ahead of yesterday’s official opening, and the result is nothing short of spectacular. A huge congratulations to everyone involved, especially our partner the Victorian Government our Cross Yarra Partnership consortium members Lendlease, John Holland, Bouygues and John Laing. While there will be much written about the extraordinary engineering and architecture of the project, for me Saturday was a chance to catch up with some of the amazing people that have made this project happen over the last 9+ years. Only a few have been captured in the attached images but there are literally thousands from the State, City of Melbourne and many other key stakeholders, construction, design, architecture, engineering, legal, stakeholder and comms and lenders. Congratulations to all.
