Exciting things are coming to Downtown Raleigh’s Main Street! 🤩 Last week, Raleigh City Council approved a $1 million investment to kick start some early improvements from the Fayetteville Street Streetscape Plan, advancing key recommendations from our Economic Development Strategy for downtown. These updates will... ☀️ Create new spaces for outdoor dining 🎨 Add new color and public art elements to the street 🎤 Continue progress towards new performance space on City Plaza along with major, permanent art installations on the plaza as well Future enhancements are planned, but this initial investment will help create some near-term changes for an important corridor in downtown and extend momentum to other nearby corridors such as Wilmington and Salisbury Streets, among others.
