The thing about working at Procore Technologies is that you learn to appreciate the built world around you. A couple weeks ago while on vacation, my wee little family and I went to Ottawa for the day. We did the typical things: visited museums, toured around the Parliament buildings, ate poutine, and even drove across the bridge to Quebec just so my kiddo could say he's been to Quebec 😆. Do you want to know what captured my interest the most? (I know you're thinking it was the poutine! It was so good!) 🏗️ The scaffolding covers around the Parliament of Canada building, as it's under construction. 🏗️ Who would have thought, eh? The scaffolding was draped with sheeting that was designed to look like part of the building. Maybe it's not a new thing, maybe it's pretty common. But to me, it was pretty slick and I appreciated the thought that went into it. Thousands of people come to Ottawa to see these historic buildings. I can imagine many are disappointed to see it's under construction and they don't get to see it's full beauty. Whoever it was that spoke up and said 'I have a great idea! Custom graphic scaffolding covers!'...you are amazing! You made sure I could still be wowed by a building under construction 🤩. Construction is cool. It's not just about building things. It's thinking about people.
