The first officially confirmed famine in the Middle East is happening now in Gaza. A new UN-backed report says more than 500,000 people in Gaza face catastrophic hunger, including 130,000 children under five who are at risk of death from acute malnutrition. "What we are witnessing in Gaza is a moral failing of the highest order.
