An extraordinary advocate for gender, racial, and human rights, Neha has dedicated her career to advancing justice and empowering communities: 📣 Exemplary leadership at Apna Ghar, Inc., a renowned Chicago-based organization that provides "critical, comprehensive, culturally competent services, and conducts outreach and advocacy across communities to end gender violence" while empowering survivors, engaging communities, and elevating gender and racial justice. Neha has overseen Apna Ghar's growth and expansion in Chicago and its suburbs as well as in the holistic services it provides from a human rights perspective including in housing, medical partnerships, the courts and beyond. 📣 Service to our community, including having served as the Commissioner of the Tenth District for the Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues; Vice Chair of the Gender Based Violence Taskforce for the City of Chicago; and a Co-Chair and Board Member of the Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence. 📣 Recognition and awards including: the Mayor’s Medal of Honor from Chicago Mayor Lori E Lightfoot; the Chicago Foundation for Women's Impact Award; the US Committee for UN Women (Chicago Chapter)'s Gender Equality Award; the Lifetime Achievement Award for Public Service Issued by Indo-American Democratic Organization (IADO); the David R.
