I’m always amazed how hard I have to work to get actual examples from Marketing and Social Media candidates. You’d think this would be the easy part. You create things. You grow things. You run campaigns with measurable impact. Yet when I ask: “Show me what you’ve done…” I get vague summaries, fluffy language, and zero specifics. Here’s the truth: Clients don’t have patience for vague. Neither do I. If you’re proud of your work, lead with it. Not after three paragraphs. Not once I drag it out of you. Lead with it. Examples like: → The campaign you drove that lifted conversions by X% → The social channel you grew from 0 to 100k → The content series that actually moved KPIs → The brand you repositioned and what changed Your work is your CV. Your numbers are your credibility. Bring receipts. Bring links. Bring screenshots. Bring before and after. The candidates who stand out show their work immediately and let the results speak louder than their pitch.

I've noted a lot of specific marketing success stories (high-value lead-driving campaigns, conversion lift from CRO audits, etc) in my resume and applications before, but in terms of "receipts" i.e. screenshots, etc - most companies I've worked with in CPG require an NDA. I've been asked for that before, but never been willing to violate a legal contract just to prove a point :)
Only to be followed up in interview with questions like "what would your former boss say you could improve upon?". The whole hiring process is so broken.

Totally agree on this. It's really surprising that many candidates don't have examples or know their numbers. That is the primary objective of your job. It's like a CFO not knowing his company's financials. It's frustrating
True, but the exception here will be Iana Pugachova. Her work in the ICP ecosystem and DFINITY has been extraordinary, and can be well documented (it's public info).
