Northern Trust EMEA Technology Conference 2025 Last week, our EMEA Technology Resource Council held its fifth EMEA Technology Conference, gathering technology leaders, partners, and experts to discuss digital innovation, AI, and IT strategy. With 13 sessions and attendees from 13 countries, the event reinforced its importance for collaboration and knowledge-sharing at Northern Trust. Andrew Douglas and Guy Gibson discussed how the shift to T+1 settlement cycles requires industry-wide collaboration, with automation and distributed ledger technology enhancing efficiency and transparency. Dr. Fatemeh Rekabi captivated us with robotics and biohybrid systems that contribute to biodiversity and sustainability. Oli Bage emphasized the significance of data readiness and AI governance. Allan Boardman and Darren Seary stressed the need for ongoing learning and ethical AI adoption to remain relevant in an AI-driven world. Steve Bryen delved into how AI agents and autonomous systems will transform workflows. "We saw out November in an amazing way, as we held our 5th EMEA Tech Conference.
