It's been a while, LinkedIn! Now that I've finally emerged from the post-board exam fog and 2 days away from starting clinical rotations, I figured it was time for an update. First and foremost, I am excited to share that I passed both COMLEX Level 1 and USMLE Step 1! ✅ As I move into my third year of medical school I've taken on some new and exciting roles. I'm currently the National Research Committee Lead for the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons-Medical Student Section (ACOS-MSS). In this position I work closely with the Executive Board's Research Coordinator and lead a committee of 16 incredible individuals who are passionate about research and making it more accessible to medical students nationwide. I also serve as a didactics tutor for second year medical students which is a mentoring experience I find extremely rewarding. On the research front, I'm proud to be presenting at the upcoming ACOS-MSS Fall conference (and fingers crossed, OMED! American Osteopathic Association). I will also be showcasing a poster in the upcoming American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress History of Surgery session. In the coming months I'm looking forward to connecting with patients and preceptors, finding new opportunities to volunteer, and continuing to grow through research and clinical learning.
