Today, Rolls Royce announced that they seek to invest in Poland (Krakow), tomorrow another service center announces more layoffs. The world of business is ever changing, adapting, seeking more efficiency, lower cost an higher quality. #HSBC is a legend when if comes to anticipating, changing, and evolving. 8 years before the world of service centers is being redrawn, at HSBC Krakow we laid the first foundations of collaboration with local universities. Three years ago, these initiatives had grown so much that we centralized in an employee resource group "Academic Partnerships." Today this is stable group of nearly 30 hard working people making magic happen. Here are a few of our realizations of 2025 - HSBC Quant academy for the 7th year at UJ, 6th year at AGH University of Krakow - cyber-studies supported for UAFM - FIRST time organised an "HSBC summer school" in Krakow (great success), - together with Aspire (Andrew Hallam), city council (Stanisław Mazur), and many local GBS we organised a top-meeting to discuss strategy. - sponsored multiple conferences, - motivated many colleagues to start a PhD, MBA, or other post-graduate, - supported the GBS program at UEK with nearly 50 teachers - etc. Last week we came together to discuss our ambitions and strategy for 2026.
