Raffaele Fitto’s Post

🇪🇺Today in the plenary of the European Parliament we discussed the report on the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), presented by rapporteurs Victor Negrescu and Siegfried Mureşan. ✅️The RRF has proven to be an essential instrument for supporting European economies and promoting significant reforms as part of the common response to the effects of the pandemic. 🗓However, important challenges remain: 51% of the allocated funds still need to be disbursed. At this stage, it is crucial to accelerate implementation in order to achieve all objectives within the deadlines set by the regulations. ▶️The Commission encourages Member States to use all available options for the effective use of resources: 1️⃣strengthen measures that have already proven effective 2️⃣finance strategic projects that already meet the STEP conditions 3️⃣transfer funds to InvestEU or to EU programmes for satellite communications 4️⃣contribute to the future European Defence Industry Programme 5️⃣break down RRF projects in such a way that components which can no longer be completed by August 2026 are financed with national funds, or if eligible, with other longer-term EU funds (such as cohesion policy funds) 📍Simplifying and streamlining national plans is crucial to reduce administrative burdens and meet the planned timelines. The Commission will continue to work closely with Member States to ensure the maximum impact of the RRF resources.

Non condivido la destinazione alla difesa con l'acquisto di armi. Meglio destinare fondi per la sanità.
