Moving from prototype to production means different challenges. Production machining requires consistent quality, predictable cycle times, and cost optimization across hundreds or thousands of parts. Production considerations include: ✅ Tooling strategies that maintain quality across long runs ✅ Fixture designs that ensure repeatable positioning ✅ Process optimization to minimize cycle times ✅ Quality control systems for consistent results Successful production machining balances speed with quality. Pushing too hard creates quality issues. Too conservative extends cycle times unnecessarily. We deliver on-demand CNC production machining with advanced multi-axis equipment for high-volume and complex parts. #MacFab #ProductionMachining #HighVolumeMachining #ManufacturingScale #QualityControl #CostOptimization #CNCmachining

Finding the hidden cause of sudden CNC accuracy variation We recently resolved a sudden precision drift on one of our CNC machines equipped with a thermal compensation system. This machine normally maintains a tolerance of <0.01 mm, but we started seeing a variation of 0.15 mm twice a day. All key tests showed normal results: • Ball bar test OK • Backlash OK • Repeatability OK It was difficult to identify this problem because the machine condition was known to be correct. After replacing several machine parts with no improvement, we turned our attention to the compensation system. Replacing the thermal sensor and control PCB completely eliminated the problem, and the machine returned to consistent high-precision performance. If anyone has experienced such sudden variation issues even when the ball bar and repeatability are correct, let's discuss. It's always good to share learnings and improve how to prevent these events in the future. #CNC #Maintenance #Precision Machining #Measurement #TPM
