Welcome to our 4th annual Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day. It is a reminder of a community committed to action and service of community, courage and justice. Vision. You can see the vision. 1st at six years old, she walked into a classroom and made a difference. Her enthusiasm, her support from her family wanting her to go to school. She walked through all of that and left a legacy for us. Ruby Bridges was truly inspirational and today it is so important that we continue that legacy that you're able to walk to school on your own, but more importantly, that you have the resources and the skills and the support that you need to be successful. School. Honoring Ruby Bridges today reminds me of how fortunate all of our students are able to walk down the block to their neighborhood school. That's where they are surrounded by the adults who truly care about them, from our educators, our parents, our elected officials, our Police Department. We are invested in our students. This is a reminder, this walk is a symbolic walk to ensure that we remain committed as a community, to ensure every student feels seen, safe and inspired. 2. You can see the vision.
