Last Friday, Ravenswood City School District students, families, educators, and community leaders joined the County of San Mateo and San Mateo County Office of Education to honor Ruby Bridges, who in 1960 became the first African American student to integrate an all-white elementary school in the South. Her bravery continues to inspire generations—and today, our community walked in her footsteps. Thank you to everyone who showed up, marched with pride, and celebrated equity, inclusion, and safe routes to school for all students!
