Satish Kulkarni’s Post

Feeling delighted to share that I have successfully completed the Certified Cyber Law Practitioner (CCLP) program by Academy, an intensive 16‑module weekend course spanning from 25th October to 16th November 2025. This program has significantly deepened my understanding of India’s evolving cyber law landscape, including the IT Act 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and the latest changes under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). Across four weekends, the sessions covered a wide spectrum of topics – from cyber law foundations, electronic governance, digital and electronic signatures, penalties and offences under the IT Act, interception and decryption, to intermediary liabilities, cyber café/ISP obligations, and data retention requirements. The course also dived into the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, data privacy obligations, sectoral regulatory frameworks (BFSI, telecom etc.), and the treatment of cyber offences under the new criminal law regime, including key BNS provisions relating to digital fraud, organized cybercrime and electronic evidence. The latter modules were especially valuable in bridging technology and law, with detailed sessions on digital forensics, cloud and dark‑web investigations, OSINT, threat intelligence, CDR/IPDR/PCAP analysis, and practical handling of electronic evidence along with Section 65B certification requirements. This blend of legal, investigative and technical perspectives is extremely relevant for cybersecurity professionals supporting law‑enforcement, judiciary and regulatory bodies in today’s environment. Grateful to Prof. (Dr.) Triveni Singh for conceptualising and mentoring this program and for his consistent efforts to build national capacity in cybercrime investigation and cyber law. Heartfelt thanks to all the distinguished faculty members for their insightful sessions, case discussions and practical perspectives, and to course coordinators Ms. Titiksha and Mr. Harshvardhan for their excellent logistics support, constant communication and learner‑centric approach throughout the program. Happy to share my course certificate and looking forward to applying these learnings in my cybersecurity and governance work, as well as collaborating with legal and law‑enforcement professionals for stronger, technology‑informed justice delivery
