Google Shopping now supports recurring subscriptions for U.S. merchants

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲. Starting this month, U.S. merchants can now offer physical goods on a recurring basis directly through Shopping ads. That means your next ad for coffee, skincare, or pet food could include a “Subscribe & Save” option — right inside Google’s own ecosystem. 🛍️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄:  • Subscriptions now supported in categories like apparel, coffee, healthcare (non-Rx), home & garden, personal care, pet supplies, prepared foods, and toys.  • Merchants must update feeds with the subscription_cost attribute (including billing period and amount).  • One subscription price per landing page; sales or discounts aren’t supported yet. 📈 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: This update brings recurring revenue and customer retention directly into Google’s performance stack. Think “set it and forget it” for buyers — and predictable LTV for brands. For SEOs and PPC pros, this could also reshape feed optimization and conversion modeling inside Shopping and PMax campaigns. Early adopters will likely see advantages in CTR and repeat conversion visibility. 🧠 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: Google’s not just closing the loop with Amazon or Shopify — it’s positioning Shopping as a retention engine, not just a transaction layer. 💬 What categories do you think will benefit most from this shift — coffee and consumables, or will apparel brands find a way to make “subscribe” work too? #GoogleShopping #Ecommerce #PPC #RetailMedia #PerformanceMax #DigitalMarketing
